David Sedaris
I got to talk to David Sedaris last night. He signed my (new) copy of Me Talk Pretty One Day. He wrote:

"To Joe - I'm So Happy You're Alive"

Jennie and I had fun. We got there just in time. We got to mock the peasants who were behind us in line. It was good. Leaving 510 early was just the icing on the cake.

I did, for like two minutes. He kept asking if I had family in California, or if I'd ever met him before.

We asked him what all of the other people who talked to him for so long had to say, and thanked him for doing more than just signing books as quickly as possible without even looking up at who they belonged to. Other stuff, too, but I can't remember what. In any case, tres cool!
